Great ice cream parlor! Very kid oriented! Neat stuff for young kids and decor was very ice cream parlorish! Great ace to bring kids and wife (coconut expert) says they have the best coconut ice cream!

Ice cream in sunny Florida is always nice to cool you off. The atmosphere of this place is the real draw. Many flavors to choose from and fresh waffle cones. Are there other places that are better, maybe but we like to have the Pizza Girls pizza and then walk next door for an ice cream. If you use the bathroom... wait a few seconds for the clear doors to turn opaque, not sure of the technology but its not instant. Service and ice cream at this location has been good and consistent for several visits.

Three stars given just for the fact that they have delicious coconut ice cream. Fourth star given for the ambiance and the great selection of other ice creams and desserts. A little pricey, but worth it for the scenery. And did I mention, coconut ice cream.

These places are very cute, designed with a 7-year old pretty princess's birthday party in mind. Some of the ice cream flavors are a miss, some too sweet, but some are the best of that flavor anywhere (I'm talking about YOU, rum raisin!). They also do old fashioned sweets like candy apples (with fresh apples, no less) and fudge. They use up some floor and wall space selling junky toys and backpacks, which takes away some charm, but they have magic vanishing bathrooms which are kinda cute to off-set. They are very cool with letting you taste the flavors before committing to diabetes, too.

Typical ice cream shop. lol bit on the pricier side. I would recommend scouts honor - mint ice cream with thin mints. Probably one of the few unique flavor of the place. I would not recommend the nutty pistachio. It tastes more like the almond and artificial. Bathrooms in the back has clear doors that fog up once you lock it. However I would recommend waiting 15 seconds before doing your business as people can still see you before then.

Good ice cream colorful happy place, they should smile more though! Have some cold water with your very sweet treat!! And sit outside and people watch. I'll try again

Excellent Ice Cream Shop! They have plenty of flavors... especially Pistacchio nut which is my favorite - in ice cream and frozen yogurt! I ended up getting an ice cream sandwich which was a scoop of ice cream sandwiched between two very LARGE soft warmed cookies. I couldn't get enough. My friend didn't finish her ice cream so I regrettably had the rest of hers. She had chocolate peanut butter - amazing! If you're gonna get a peanut butter ice cream and you love peanut butter... get the CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER!

Delicious ice cream. The place to go for a treat. Our service was fine, the aroma of chocolate is hypnotic! It's the recommended place to go!

Definitely a top 10 stop in West Palm Beach! The ambiance will brighten your day and the treats will are worth every cent! The cookiewich FTW!

I think the big draw to Sloan's isn't necessarily the ice cream, but moreso the ambiance, which is incredibly unique. I mean, how many places can you think of have a bathroom where the mirror fogs up with a click of the handle? Sloan's is full of candy, cookies, sweets, kooky souvenirs and delicious treats all surrounded by bubblegum bright colors, pretty much providing instant happiness upon your first step into the shop. The ice cream is good, don't get me wrong, but I have yet to try anything I have loved significantly more than any ice cream I've had anywhere else. If given the choice, however, I'd definitely stop into Sloan's just to brighten my day, since it definitely does add a skip in your step when you walk in.

Super cute place. The ice cream cookie sandwich was great! It's small and the seating is limited (I think there were 4 chairs) so don't bring a huge party. Overall charming and worth the visit.

  • Peter A.

A great spot downtown to take the whole family to grab some ice cream. With outside seating having a wonderful waterfront view there isn't a better location for an after dinner treat. With a large variety of flavors and reasonable prices Sloan's is worth taking a visit if you're in town for vacation or a local looking to satisfy your sweet tooth. The fog mirror style bathroom doors make the visit an experience in itself.

Love love love! Love the flavors, love the helpful staff, love the decor (pink and cupcakes and ice cream and candy on all the walls!), love the funny bathroom door (you must check it out), and love the location. Definitely stop by if you are in need of some delicious cold ice cream!

FIVE STARS. you come here for Ice cream. The ice cream is awesome. I tasted the banana, (BEST) the peanutbutter, the coffee, cookie dough, thin mint.... they;re all good. The place is bright and crazy and vacationy ... I love it. Juyst as fun as the ice cream - the bathroom doors are clear glass.. that is until you lock tyhem and they fog over. fun. Fun place - just go - its worth the visit!

A great place to take the kids out for some really high quality ice cream in WPB. We try to bring all our out of towers here and they all love it. It's no Fenton's Creamery but I give it five stars for the taste and the location. Robby.

Bummer.. Got to the shop around 9:45pm and most of the ice cream were already put away. What a bummer! My families wanted to try their flavors but end up only getting generic flavors like vanilla and milk chocolate.

Before you even walk into Sloan's, you smell it. "This it what the sweat of Angels smell like." My friend said as we walked though the door. I'm sure he's right because it is heavenly. We waited for a few minutes and finally got up to the counter to be served. The people before us got to sample a few of the many flavors before they decided. My boy and I sampled one each and then he asked the server a question about the menu. The server answered him a little smugly and then said " I have a line and don't have time to give out a lot of samples." That's funny, because we only asked for one and my friend who was with us received zero samples. Whatever. I got my dark chocolate ice cream and it was heavenly. I ate it outside despite the arctic Florida temperate of 61 degrees. And it was worth it. I'll definitely be back, but hopefully they will have more than 2 people working the counter on a busy weekend night. And hopefully that guy will be gone, or lose the attitude. Stank faces are not cute. I know it's busy, I know there's a lot for you to do. I get it. I deal with customers at work too. But smile and poise yourself. It'll get you far.

Loved their ice cream! The decor is so fun and cute. Everything I would want in a candy and ice cream place.

  • Chiwee H.

This place has a lot of delicious ice cream to choose from. One of them even has gummy bear in it! My favorite is raspberry chocolate ice cream. There bathroom is very unique, people need to lock the door for the glass window to close. Otherwise people can see you haha. The staff is friendly, he said he can't remember how many people forgot to lock the bathroom.

this place is simply amazing!! Loved everything about the store so much flavors to choose from. Their have an interest assortment of candy/Insect candy. :) The decor is so pretty. Most pretty ice cream shop ever!! N yes the ice cream is delicious !

I usually don't eat ice cream, but whenever I get a craving for it I make sure it's worth my giving in to the temptation ;) Both the pistachio and coffee ice cream at Sloan's were absolutely delicious and indulging on a small cup of this ice cream was totally worth it!!!

  • Roger A.

The store smelled and looked good, which attracted us to go in. Unfortunately the kid behind the counter was rude and uninformed and apparently couldn't form full sentences. He obviously didn't want to be there and we didn't want to deal with his attitude, so we promptly left the establishment empty handed. The management needs to do a better job of hiring and training the staff.

Absolutely delightful! Bright colors. Sweet treats. Plus, as an added bonus, its in City Place :)

Expensive, small milkshakes. They tasted okay but McDonald's might be better. Steak and Shakes are definitely better.

  • Josh M.

Absolutely amazing. All made in the store. Flavors that don't exist elsewhere. The best ice cream place of Everseen.

So far, it's the best ice cream stand I've found in WPB, but I also haven't been to too many places since moving down. You walk in the door and BOOM!: olfactory overload. Way too many things to look at and absorb-- I could barely concentrate on the task at hand: figuring out which ice cream I wanted. The list is extensive and offers quite a selection of ice cream and frozen yogurt, but either I missed something, or just the ice cream was actually in the coolers out front. I wasn't sure if they actually had any frozen yogurt anywhere, which was kind of moot since I wasn't getting any-- but does it exist? The service was decent. I understand that they have to deal with whiny families and kids screaming all day long, so I can understand (somewhat) the lack of enthusiasm. Hell, I stood in there only around 15 minutes and wanted to walk out without ice cream because of some of the people. Seriously appalling behavior, mostly on the parents part. But the guys behind the counter took it in stride and accommodated wishes. Total high five for them. There's a good variety of ice cream flavors, as well as random sweets in the counter and on top of the counter (google search chocka ca-ca-- if I still have it on my phone I'll try to add my photo of it). I loved seeing things from my childhood, which granted was only in the 80's, but candies like candy buttons and candy necklaces are seemingly hard to find these days. I only had the ice cream, but the other stuff looked presentable. The flavor was OK. Nothing stellar to write home about, and nothing to complain about. It was edible, but not remarkable. It wasn't creamy, but kind of over-frozen (which I realize you can't over-freeze things, but you know when ice cream kind of gets crunchy? That's kind of what it reminded me of)-- but it hit the spot. My big complaint: the price. I realize the location demands a premium. I also realize it's an ice cream stand. But come on, $5 for a small?!? And THIS was the small?!?!? It's barely two small scoops and the ice cream didn't even bulge over the cup. I didn't even get a generic cake cone with that-- was I supposed to ask? I'll likely be back if I'm in the area, but there was nothing special or outstanding about this experience, minus the fact that the guys behind the counter didn't load up and whack the customer in front of us. That was impressive.

This has to be one of the cutest ice cream shop ever. I remember my first visit was a few years ago and it did not disappoint. So pretty inside with bright colors and everywhere you turn yummy treats are filled throughout the store and gives you a feel of your youth. Cotton candy bags, dots, those cute little dot candy on paper, the little bottles filled with nothing but colored sugar. Oh yes and the bathrooms, what fun. You must go in them. You walk in shut the door and the glass door fogs up so know one can see in but it sure is strange. You feel like everyone can see you. Many different flavors of ice cream to choose from. We grabbed a small rocky road to share and it was very good. They make shakes, sundaes, etc...Service is good, prices are high. They have such cute items for gifts as well including stuffed animals. Take your kids here, they will love it. My daughter still talks about it and she is no longer a child. Very. very cute place.

I came to Sloan's after nearly a 5 year drought. I'm certainly a fan as their ice cream flavors tasted fantastically well and the cone-bowl was a great way to eat the ice cream without having it drip all over the place (which is a pet peeve of mine). The whimsical decor is completely over the top and perfect for kids. We went on a recent Friday night and stumbled upon a movie being played for hundreds across the street at the park under the stars. People were enjoying their Sloan's treats swinging on the two-seaters under the architectural canopy. The best way to end a date night is to grab a cone and walk down to the intracoastal pier and gaze over to Palm Beach island or back west onto Downtown West Palm Beach. Recommended!

  • Christine C.

It's ok, and overrated. The place is fun to walk around in and check out the funky trinkets, but the eatables are just ok and wayyyy over priced. I think my mom paid like $40 dollars for some chocolate covered marshmallows, two turtles, and a caramel apple... yeah... over priced, and the treats were just middle of the road, nothing special. Probably will not go here again because of the pricing. And the summer time service stunk - the ladies that were working couldn't answer any questions about the product or where it came from, etc. They were very dull in the service department.

  • Heather C.

Step right up and don't be shy.... the bathroom alone is the coolest thing since Willy Wanka. The ice cream here is delish and although it's cute in the layout- the other store off Clematis next to Pizza Girls is a better location. :)

What more do you need to say than: Ice cream flavors inspired by and using Girl Scout Cookies. Insanely delicious. Don't let anyone kid you--a small is a large here.

Expensive little dessert place, but good. We thought they might have some cupcakes which was really what was luring us in -- our never-ending quest for the cake in the cup! What we found was a great big fat assortment of ice cream, chocolates, and all sort of candied goodies. We ended up just getting a chocolate chip cookie and one dark chocolate peanut butter cup. These two items alone were $9! Good sweets, but heavy on the pocketbook.

  • Matthew M.

This is a really fun place to go. The atmosphere is very whimsical and there are plenty of little trinkets and goodies to check out while your eat your ice cream. The ice cream is pretty standard, and the locations proximity to the West Palm Beach waterfront makes this a great place to get ice cream and walk down to the waterfront and enjoy the view.

I felt like I had walked into the real life Wonka Chocolate Factory. We visited Sloan's during off season and spent about 40 minutes exploring the shop and deciding what ice cream flavors to get. The store was colorfully and whimsically decorated. Every surface was painted in brights and pastels. A toy train ran under the ice cream bar where they must have had over 20 flavors. In addition to the plentiful ice cream, there were chocolates, candies and toys, all of which were tempting. Like a trick from Willie Wonka, the bathrooms featured glass doors that became opaque when you turned the lock. Clearly overstimulated, my family (all adults) ran around saying "look at this, look at this". We were finally able to focus on the ice cream, all made in house. The server was incredibly helpful and patient as we debated. He seemed proud of our excitement, offering us samples and allowing us to order multiple flavors on one cone. I decided on the mint chocolate chip and s'mores in a waffle cone. The s'mores practically had whole Hershey's bars in it along with the graham cracker and marshmallow. The waffle cone was so fresh and sturdily made so that melted ice cream didn't leak out of the bottom. Sloan's is in walking distance of a marina where we were able to sit on a bench and enjoy the ice cream and the bay views. The whole experience and the ice cream was a real treat!

Awesome ice cream joint in Palm Beach off Clematis. Amazing selection of fudges and historical candies, too. Great staff.

  • Joseph C.

It's ok.. Way too many kids running all there locations. They kind of ruin the experience. Ice cream is good but Kilwins is better. I love beer and ice cream but I'm not a fan of an ice cream place selling beer.

Delicious ice cream! Excellent, patient, and friendly service!!! I got the creamy coconut and the extra fudge chunk kind of yogurt. My husband got the strawberry and a scoop of butter pecan. Adorable shop with vibrant colors.

if you are familiar with sloan's at all it is probably b/c of their crazy bathroom (the glass is clear and everyone can see you until you lock the door and then glass magically frosts.) the ice cream is made on the spot and I just had to review this place for two reasons .... 1) the mint chip ice cream - easily the best ive ever had. 2) coffee & doughnuts ice cream (loaded with krispy kreme doughnuts) - easily the most fattening ice cream ive ever had but pribably one of the best two. the store is very kitsch, but in a good way. a great little ice cream parlor...

Probably one of the most exciting ice cream places I have ever been to. Bright colors, happy people, and funny items you can buy. This place has everything, crazy flavors of ice cream, tons of add-ins, sundaes, milkshakes, fudge, candies, a wall of jelly beans, and much much more. I got the peanut butter sundae. It was great. The lady even let me sneak in a scoop of smores ice cream in my sundae and substitute some snickers pieces for peanuts. With that being said, the staff was also great: very happy and helpful when trying to decide what to order. My mom's banana milkshake was also delicious. This stuff wasnt too pricey either. Only 6 dollars for my massive sundae. I was amazed. This place is defiantly a must go if you are in West Palm. Best dessert place we came to on our vacation.

A cute little ice cream shop at the end of Clematis. It has every flavor that you could imagine and want to try. Its funky decor and the wicked bathroom is what makes the ice cream more appealing. It can get a little pricey when it comes to a scoop of ice cream, so don't be shocked when you go in there since you read this before going in there ;)

Such a cute, colorful, fun place to go to satisfy your inner child. I love this place, so I can only imagine how fun it would be for kids! So many toys, treats, tons of old fashioned candy from my childhood, bulk candy, homemade ice cream, and tons of chocolates. Plus the gifts they have are seriously so adorable I have bought things a few times for my niece and nephew. They little back packs and stuffed animals are precious! They even have doggie treats that look so good you want to eat them yourself! The staff is always attentive and you never wait long even if the line is out the door. A definite stop every time we are in City Place. My husband doesn't even have to ask anymore, we just walk down to Sloans after we eat.

Come here every year, and it's getting better. Colorful, fun, awesome store with candies, chocolates, and ice cream. Everything is SUPER good. Carrot cake ice cream is AMAZING. Long lines that move really fast so don't leave because of the lines.

  • Kathy S.

Meh. And ehh...and meh. I hate to say it but I'm not a huge fan of this place or their other location near Clematis Street. The decor earns them the 3 stars for all the fun pink and chandeliers, but $4.25 for a measly scoop of ice cream? I don't know what they're making their ice cream with that it costs $5 and up but it isn't anything special if you ask me. It's just ice cream. I'd rather hit up the gelato place on the other side of City Place.

    (3)
  • Tiffany H.

SO GOOD! Seriously creamy ice cream. A little on the pricey side for ice cream but it's worth it. They have a funky scheme in terms of decor, and an awesome bathroom. It's one of those things that I think of being very Palm Beach, a stop for anyone visiting the area. I LOVE their coconut ice cream... some of the best I've ever had.

The best ice cream ever! Coffee ice cream has tiny particles of crushed bean & the strawberry is incredible :)

  • Christie S.

My roommate worked here in college, and I worked next door at Pizza Girls. This place has some seriously good ice cream. My favorite is the Circus Box ice cream which is cotton candy ice cream with gummy bears mixed into it. The only thing close to it in Baltimore is Slyvan Beach.

My family and I were in town for the week and heard about Ginger's Dance Party. We made our way out there and while looking for a parking spot, we drove by Sloan's and it the vibrant colors caught my eye as we were passing by. After finding a parking spot and finding out that Ginger's party was for well, children, we ended up just walking around. As we made the final loop, I told my fam I needed to make one more stop ... and it was at Sloans. It was originally just to look but that changed quickly. I wasn't aware of what this was place was ... it's the most vibrant and welcoming ice cream parlor you could ever think of!! It's very girly oriented but it's fun. Their menus are these ornate mirrors and then in front of your eyes are easily 20 flavors of ice cream and then 4 flavors of yogurt. My brother of course had to order something and he went with the chunky peanut butter ice cream, I saw that there was a yogurt version so I hadda hop on that. I wanted some too! So I suggested he get the yogurt on ... and I could have a "few" bites of it. Along with the PB yogurt, I had asked for just a sample of the chocolate chocolate almond and he hooked us up with a scoop on top!! The chocolate chocolate was just okay, very bitter and you could tell it was yogurt based. But the PB yogurt .. umm why don't I have some right now?! Oh yah cause I had my "few" bites as if it was my last meal. They really hooked it up too, the chunks of reese peanut butter cup. You wouldn't even know that it was yogurt too, I only really got that because I like to think it's healthy, but lets be serious, its stuck to my hips and I'm not even mad about it! It was $5.99 for a large, which wasn't really that big but it was well worth it and more than enjoyable.

Decor is a little tacky but the Ice Cream was really good, quick service, open late and had room for the four of us and the little one to sit while we ate.

  • Susan C.

Definitely makes you feel like a kid in an ice cream store. It's very kid like, which appealed to me. The ice cream flavors are definitely different and was pretty good. It's smaller than the locations at Cityplace and in Mizner in Boca, but that doesn't take away from the ice cream. :)

  • victoria r.

Novelty ice cream at its finest. I've never been to an ice cream place quite like this one. From the moment you enter Sloan's you are a child again... in heaven. Toys, gadgets, cakes, giant cookies, etc. Not to mention all the homemade ice cream flavors are delicious. The bathrooms are entertaining and the whole decor just screams 'yum'! Def. a place to visit in west palm for a treat. However, this was the first location, yet the City Place one is it's best and open the latest.

  • Paul G.

it's ok....neat looking place with lots of fun for kids. but the ice cream is average at best...but at a premium price. expect to pay $5 for a small.....and a sunday is in the $8 range.

  • Luca P.

Ice cream craving, looking up reviews on Yelp and bam! Here we were. We tried to have ice cream on the beach by Kilwins and I was flabbergasted why anyone would give them any stars as ALL the ice cream flavors I tasted were horrible. Anyway. We came here, and was finally given what we were looking for: taste and good quality. I liked the decor and the "old" or funny candies too. We'll definitely be back for more if we want more ice cream!! As tourists, we didn't care that much for the price but we'd be willing to pay up anyway if it's good quality.

One star for the glass door men's restroom. Infuriating. Visible by all...including small children. No, not frosted glass. CLEAR glass. One giant pane the size of the door. This is not a joke. Go see for yourself. As for the product, my white chocolate ice cream sucked. Coffee ice cream was biter. Others I sampled were mediocre. $5 for a small that's way too big even for me. No kiddie size available either.
